Our BBQ was a Success!

Thanks to everyone who attended and ultimately showed their support for the great cause, Kidsport. The day started out perfectly, sunny and warm and as we started the grill and putting out the lawn sale items we thought, that forecast of rain is really wrong for today! We forgot for some strange reason that we live in Calgary and the weather does change rather quickly. We even had some amazing tunes blasting out from the fine fellows at Wild Bill’s DJ Services who kept the Kidsports announcements fine and frequent throughout the event.

The hot dogs rolled off the grill faster than we expected, and our Master Chefs, Gord and Patrick kept up with the pace, alongside was Gloria our ever spunky sales gal, loading the dogs in the freshest buns ever baked, by her local Cochrane IGA Grocer, who donated dozens of buns for the cause.

The sky began to look a little grey and the wind picked up with some zeal and before we knew it , we had a heck of a storm crashing down on us. The lawn was quickly cleared and the last of the hot dogs were gobbled down. But even though the event was shortened by a couple of hours we were happy with all of your smiling faces and generous donations.
